Sung Kim
Acupuncturist

Sung Kim became California licensed as an acupuncturist in 2007 and nationally certified by the National Certification Commission in Acupuncture in 2006. He obtained his Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2007 from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, California. His 1,000 hour clinical internship was spent at various facilities such as the Rehabilitation Ward of California Pacific Medical Center.

He became interested in Chinese Medicine when he was diagnosed as 100% permanently disabled by three different medical doctors. After trying various medical treatments, he began seeing an acupuncturist. Upon treatment with acupuncture and herbs, he realized pain relief and improvement in his other symptoms. With a consistent course of treatment using acupuncture and herbs, his “permanent disabilities” completely resolved.

He has completed numerous post-graduate courses in acupuncture and primarily practices the Kiiko Matsumoto style. Sung Kim learned the system by attending classes and workshops led by Kiiko MatsumotoDavid EulerHolly Guzman and Avi Magidoff. To a lesser degree, he practices the acupuncture systems taught by Master Tung, Richard Tan and TCM.

He received his ACN (Applied Clinical Nutritionist) from Life West Chiropractic College in 2019. The ACN is a whole food based, functional nutrition approach to treating root cause of disease. This approach is usually not as heavily lab based as traditional functional medicine approaches.
